5 Years in JCL
4 Nationals
25-26 California JCL Editor
Edited and designed the Nuntius Californiensis, the publication of the CAJCL. Produced and coordinated over 70 pages of content total.
The Nuntius reached JCLers across California and the NJCL, and it was a true joy showcasing all of the voices that make the California JCL such a vibrant place. I also worked with and corresponded with many state editors.

School Newspaper Editor
I serve as the Opinions Editor and Columnist for my school's news site (Harker Aquila, harkeraquila.com), as well as our print newspaper, the Winged Post. I've written dozens of stories
Other Relevant Experience in Classics
For two years I've served as an editorial intern for a Latin dictionary. I'm also a high school intern with the Asian and Asian American Classical Caucus, hosting webinars, book clubs, and events for high school students of all backgrounds interested in studying Classics in college.
I'm passionate about reading, writing, and historical research, and to that end I wrote an extensive paper about the history and contributions of 19th century Black American classicists; my paper and research won the National History Day competition in California and placed fourth nationally, publication forthcoming.
23-24; 24-25 Local Chapter Editor
I started my school's JCL publication, The Eureka, working from scratch; it was a herculean labor of love. But ultimately I was able to publish eight issues in total (over 100 articles).
In its second year, The Eureka won first place in the NJCL Local Publications Contest.

Other Relevant Experience in the JCL
I've served as the consul of my chapter, as well as the communications and publicity chair (akin to the first VP) for two years. In these roles I've planned colloquia, events, competitions, and more for JCLers and Latin students at my school.
I've also won the NJCL publicity and promotional video contests.
